Student Life
Student life at Kehilla Upper School reflects our belief that learning and growth extend far beyond the classroom. As one vibrant community, our Middle School and High School students share a sense of belonging, Jewish pride, and responsibility to one another, while also enjoying experiences that meet the unique needs of their stage of development.
Clubs & Activities
In Middle School, social life is an incredibly formative part of our students’ journey. Our research-based approach nurtures social, emotional, and cognitive growth by emphasizing the value of mentors and role models, the importance of small learning communities, and a flexible, personalized curriculum. Middle schoolers take active roles in shaping their own learning, participate in cross-grade projects, and engage with peers both inside and outside of Kehilla. Athletics play a strong role in building teamwork and school spirit, with opportunities in cross-country, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and basketball.

In High School, students build on this foundation by stepping into leadership and independence. They have a voice in shaping their learning experiences, take on larger community roles, and learn to balance responsibility with creativity. Athletics and the arts provide outlets for expression and excellence, while social experiences—within Kehilla and through broader community partnerships—help prepare them to live proudly as Jews and confidently as young adults.
Together, our middle and high school divisions create a seamless, supportive journey. Students are both part of their own age-based communities and integral members of the larger Kehilla family, where they learn to care for one another, celebrate Jewish life together, and prepare for the future with strength and pride.
